Our Story

We are a family-owned, family-run vineyard and winery in northeastern Pennsylvania. The owners, Bill and Denise Karlotski, opened the doors in January of 2009 at their quaint, country-styled tasting room and have been pushing ahead ever since.

The winery/vineyard is the brainchild of Bill...he has always been a "farmer" at heart! And, that has rubbed off on the rest of us. All our stress just disappears once we start working in the vineyard. It is his passion/craziness that has his family backing him 100%.

The "Pavlick" name for the winery/vineyard originates from Denise's side of the family. Her late grandparents, George and Catherine Pavlick, owned/operated a dairy farm and the area became known as Pavlick Hill. Since our vineyard now grows on part of this land, we thought it would be a nice tribute to keep the family name.

Our Vineyard

We currently have a one-acre vineyard in Luzerne county, not far from our tasting room. We have several hundreds of vines of various varietals ranging from one to five years old. We began planting the vines as a hobby before the business developed.

Recently, we have begun focusing on a few varietals to offer as specialty “estate wines” at our store. We have already offered a very well received 2008 Edelweiss and, in the future, hope to also have a limited production of Frontenac and Baco Noir. Some of the other varietals growing in our vineyard are used in one of our signature blends, our “Mon Pére” wine.
